Life Is Apparently Not Boring

Not a boring life

2 months out of prison

**1/8/26** Date Written

Listen guys, I really do lead a boring life.

It’s just that prison is so boring, with such limited options, that my life out here probably seems crazy by comparison.

I’m trying to remember where my last update stopped. I know I had just started my new job.

It is still going great. Honestly, it doesn’t even feel like work because we have so much fun. There are pros and cons to that though.

Trust me.

My ridiculously attractive boss and I have this smart-ass banter that keeps us laughing all day. He’s joked about taking me to the Keys.

Little does he know, I can’t even cross the county line, so now, just in case he is serious, I am trying to figure out why I’m mysteriously booked solid for the next three months until this project is over and he goes back home, halfway across the country.

On a more practical note, I’m getting about sixty hours a week, so my paychecks are amazing.

If everything goes according to plan, I should have a cheap car by the end of the month. How cool is that?

Right now, one of my roommates, Hayley, takes me to work every day and picks me up afterward. Even before she started her new job, she was doing it for me, and trust me, it is not a short drive.

How blessed can one person be? I am so grateful for the friendships I’ve already built out here. It amazes me how many people have shown up for me when I needed them most.

For those of you who were in our Persevere coding class…

Congratulations!!! I am waiting to hear how everything went. They said they were going to read my message to the class and give you copies because there wasn’t enough time to get my video approved.

It’s funny.

A few months ago, I was sitting where you are.

Today I’m working sixty hours a week, trying to buy a car, getting rides from my roommate, and figuring out how to explain to my ridiculously attractive boss why I can’t leave the county.

Life is weird.

But in the best possible way.
